2011 is finally over. It wasn't a bad year. But not an especially good one either. Personally, it had some major ups and downs but they are done now, and I'm ready to move on. Because something tells me that 2012 is going to be a great year for me. And it wasn't only the New Year Fortune Cookie that said: "You know where you are going to and nobody can stop you!"
I ended 2011 exactly the way I intend to go on in 2012. With good friends, relaxed and lots and lots of laughter. I spend the last two weeks doing something I haven't done in quite a long time. Spending quality time with myself. And besides getting lots of R & R I found that I actually really liked what I found. Kinda like that friend you've always admired, wanting to be more like him/her and then you realize you are that person.
Now, as the first day of the year is drawing closer to its end I am very, very content. The party is over, the apartment is clean again, the guest's sheets are washed, the bills are paid, last night's leftovers are in the oven turning into a delicious casserole for dinner and as I'm writing this I'm wearing fresh 'jammies looking forward to fresh sheets tonight. As much as I'm looking forward to this bright and shiny new year.
2012 here I come and nobody can stop me!
